August 20, 1968 in Melbourne, Australia. Dual citizen
of France and Australia. Resides in and races for France.
Gold medallist, 30-34, 1999 ITU World Triathlon Championship.
Degree in accounting, works as a vendeur. Sports background
included swimming, running, surf lifesaving, and grass
hockey. Did first triathlon in 1986, averaging 20+ races
a year ever since. Made five world teams while racing
for Australia, three more since switching to France.
Has won over 100 races outright, plus bronze medal,
25-29, 1994 ITU World Duathlon Championship. Assesses
strengths as running and mental toughness. Weakness?
"Swimming". Married to Florence, who likes
"dogs, computers, stamps, and running marathons".
Loves wife's paella, hates garlic. Has overcome the
occasional broken bone and torn muscle, battles recurring
IT band friction syndrome. Enjoys a wide range of music,
but you can keep any techno for yourself.
