RESULTS: SOUTH AFRICAN AQUATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS

The second South African Aquathlon Championships took place in the friendly city, Port Elizabeth over the weekend of 18 March 2001. The seniors and Junior A's raced over a 2.5x1.2x2.5 distance, which included a undulating run and a surf swim. Overall honours in both the women and men's race went to two Junior A athletes, Lisa Penfold of Kwa Zulu-Natal and Simon Williams of Western Province, while visiting British Triathlete, Sam Walton, posted the second fastest time in the men's race.
