At a very cordial and successful ITU Congress - following a superb 2 day Triathlon Conference - The ITU President Les McDonald was re-elected for another 4 year term. In his brief acceptance speech he thanked his opponent and 'long time friend', Dr. Sarah Springman, and echoed her sentiment and hope that the entire ITU family can continue to successfully work together in unity.

The congress delegates all rose to give President McDonald and his team a standing ovation. Also elected into key positions on the ITU team were Mr. Chic Igaya (IOC) as vice-president, Bill Walker as secretary general and Marisol Casada as ITU treasurer.
