DRAFTING ALLOWED in ELITE  CATEGORY

A - BIKES :

In the ELITE and SUB 23 were applied the ITU RULES that settles down that

1 – Handle bars will be to the height of the brakes.

2–Only will allow classical handles, curved down.

3 - Aerobars will be allowed provided they don't exceed of 15 cm toward the front of the imaginary vertical line starting from the mass or center of the front wheel, and that at the same time they don't exceed the it lines formed by the front end of the brakes.

4 - Aerobars will be closed in extreme the and don't rot to have brake lever.

5 - the lever brake are not allowed in the aerobars, except the shifts gift.

6 - The mooring hawsers are allowed.

7 - The wheels of "STICKS" or " Spinergy " are not allowed in the categories ELITE and JUNIOR ELITE

8 - The athlete ELITE or JUNIOR ELITE that it doesn't present their bicycle under conditions won't be able to begin the competition.

In the AGE GROUPS the handles were not controlled or couple, there won't be restrictions neither changes regarding the bicycles

It was only controlled that they don't have piercing elements or you leave in tip that they can be dangerous for the own athlete or the other ones at home of a fall or smooth.

B - OBLIGATORY BEHAVIOR IN THE PLATOON

1– It is prohibited to traffic inside the taken platoon or leaning on it supports them arms (handle “scott “) or of the bars of rest. That entire triathlete that goes inside the platoon will make taken him unfailingly of the conventional handle. It will be causal of automatic and inappealable disqualification the violation to this rule that is detected by the judges

2 - It will only be able to traffic taken of the non conventional handle or of the bars of rest who it goes to the front of a platoon or in solitary.

C – WHEELS CHANGES

1 - THE CHANGE OF WHEELS will only BE ALLOWED BY PUNCTURE TO THE ELITE categories AND SUB 23, so much male as female.

2 - To such this the triathletes will be able to have 2 (two) you rotate of reserve as maximum, located or in the transition area or in the one it recaptures of the cycling circuit, being no allowing to make change in any other place outside of these. If the same ones are located in the transition area, they will be inside the rack or in the sector assigned to the triathlete, not being able to them to locate in ANY OTHER PLACE. If the wheels are located in the sector of the one it recaptures of the circuit, they won't be on the properly this circuit, but outside of it and in any moment they will interrupt the work of the district attorneys, assisting y/o Judges. If to wheels they are in being able to of some assistant of the triathlete, this should only be limited to their holding NOT BEING ABLE TO ATTEND THE TRIATHLETA IN ANY CONCEPT, NEITHER TOTOUCH HER or HIM.

3 - The changes will be able to them to carry out ONLY THE TRIATHLETE, being FORBIDDEN the external help.

4 - The wheels that are changed will be placed in the sector assigned to the triathlete inside the transition area. If the triathlete doesn't make this way it, she/he will return to accommodate the same ones. If the triathleta refused to this, it will be automatically disqualified.

5 - The bicycle change is not allowed neither of any other part of the same one, excepting the wheels.

6 - The triathlete won't be able to receive ANY material, including WHEELS on behalf of ANY person, neither assistant of the team, neither public.

7 - The reserve wheels to be able to be used during the competition, they will GO BY THE CHECK IN during the entrance to the AREA OF TRANSITION FOR THE FISCAL Y/O JUECES.

8 - THE NON EXECUTION OF SOME OF THESE RULES IMPLIED THE AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION, NOT RECEIVING THE ORGANIZACION APELACION Y/O PROTESTS FOR IT.

The city of LA PAZ is located in the North of the County of Entre Rios, concretely 530 kms. to the North of the city of Buenos Aires (capital of the country and the city more big and populous of Argentina), recumbent on the left riverbank of the river Parana, one of those more mighty of the American continent.

The city has 25.000 inhabitants and it is the head of the department of the same name. It is located amid the one denominated “Mesopotamia Argentina” being their half height the 28 mts. on the level of the sea, that is to say, a typical plain city.

This town is highly an agricultural-cattleman, having suffered a strong impulse of the tourism like economic resource starting from half-filled of the decade of the 70. At the moment their main tourist product constitutes it the FISHING of the species but valuable among the river fish: the dorado and the surubi.

In March, and after carrying out an exploration process and prospecting of but of two years, it was discovered in the area of the Ex-Parque Balneario The Tannery located to the South of the urban plant of the city, the presence of THERMAL WATERS of between 40 and 42 degrees of temperature and rich in salts minerals. The appearance of this resource tourist show enormous possibilities for the tourist and economic future of the city and their influence area.

BY PLANE: LA PAZ doesn't HAVE AIRPORT. The way easier and more accessible of arriving from any foreign country it is to arrive previously at the INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OF EZEIZA (in Buenos Aires, capital of the Republic) and from there–previous transfer until the METROPOLITAN AIRPORT “JORGE NEWBERY “using the company of transport “Tienda Leon“–a coastal traffic flight should be hired to the cities of SANTA FE (Airport of Sauce Viejo) or PARANA (Airport of the Air Brigrada), places toward where they operate the AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS, AUSTRAL, ARG and SOUTHERN WINDS weekly. The schedules of the flights of these companies and the respective rates should be consulted with your travel agent.

It is highly convenient to travel from the foreigner already having included the flight BUENOS AIRES / SANTA FE / BUENOS AIRES since in that way their cost is scanty or minimum (some companies of trips directly give it free), besides being very practical for the traveler the transfer of Ezeiza to Jorge Newbery Airport.

Once in Santa Fe or Parana, the only means or ways of arriving are by surface mail through the bus services that leave from the TERMINAL STATIONS OF BUS of both cities until La Paz. The travel in bus from Santa Fe or Paraná to La Paz has a duration of 2 hours (maximum) and the buses are very comfortable.

We advise you to inform to the organization of the competition of the hour and approximate day of arrival to that city from La Paz to the ends of making the pertinent arrangements for their best attention and location.

From the city of Cordoba: For the Route 19–and after going by San Francisco–you arrives to Santa Fe. From there it should be consented–via Túnel Subfluvial–to the city of Parana. From there for the Route 12 you takes toward the North. It distances from Cordoba: 511 kilometers

BY TERRESTRIAL: From Buenos Aires they operate six companies that have daily services to La Paz: ETA, TATA, FLECHA BUS, CHEVALIER, Ciudad de Posadas and Empresa Silvia. The same ones have a total of but of 7 daily frequencies in varied schedules, some of them–as the case of the Empresa Silvia–with car-bed service. The schedules of the exits they should be consulted to the Central Station of Bus of Retiro (Buenos Aires). Duration of the trip: 7/8 hours. APPROXIMATE COST OF THE PASSAGE: Among u$s 25,00 (going and turn)

From Parana and Santa Fe: From these cities there are bigger quantity of frequencies and daily exits, approximately among 8 and 9 daily exits of the ETA, TATA and Ríos Tur enterprises, in every schedule, except between the 0.00 and the 5.00 hours. What’s THE TRIATHLON OF LA PAZ

The International Triathlon of La Paz completes in 2003 its NINETEEN years of life. It was born in 1985 with the name of Triathlon Anniversary Weekly publication El Paceño and it was growing  slowly until transforming - for already one half a decade - in  the SPORT   TOURISTIC PARTY most IMPORTANT  of LA PAZ as well as one sport more excellent event of the country.

The characteristics of this sport race are the following ones: the TRIATHLON is a relatively new sport inside the world sport spectrum (it has  only 22 years, since it was born in Hawaii in 1978) and much more still in our country (it entered in 1984). However in the Olympic Games of Sydney 2000 the triathlon made it stellar presentation like splendid Olympic Sport."

This discipline is an individual test in which the athlete should carry out three diferents activities: SWIMMING - CYCLING - RUNNING, being the traditional distances 1.500 Mts. of Swimming, 40 Kms. of Cycling and 10 Kms. of Running.

The INTERNATIONAL  TRIATHLON OF THE PEACE is actually considerer like BIGGER AND IMPORTANT TRIATHLON OF THE COUNTRY”, basing this title on its excellent organization and prizes, ace well ace for the heat and color the event has. -

Maybe the most excellent and prominent aspect  of the TRIATHLON OF LA  PAZ is the character of true POPULAR PARTY that has, since the day of la competition more of 5.000 people they are given appointment in the Port of LA PAZ, historical point of the event, while the rest of the population, more than 15.000 people full the streets and besides the route for where the competitors  to supply them of water, to encourage them, to applaud them. -

During the days that precede to the event the city it changes their rhythm completely, invaded by the triathletes that are identified by their particular gears as well as few hundred of visitors that arrive from those but far away points of the country to observe the maximum event of the year in Triathlon Sport.

The traditional dinner in the vigil of the denominated competition Carbo Meals or Pasta Party; the colorful competition of kids triathlon in which it will participate more of 180 small of both sexes of the whole country of between 6 and 13 years, the later parade for the streets of the city; the long triathletes lines training in the routes or in the streets of the city during the day; the crazy noises of the “scolas do samba” in the Port the day of the race; the Ceremony  de Delivery of Prizes in front of the costs of the imposing river Paraná; the fireworks marks the end of the race; and the Beach Party of the following day is some of the moments that surround to this great athletic competition. -

The INTERNATIONAL TRIATHLON OF THE PEACE is considered the triathlon race most old of THE ARGENTINEAN COAST. Their first edition dates of the month of February of 1985. -
