HOW TO GET TO BARCIS.
If you come
from the freeway AE:
" Freeway AE A 28: exit Cimpello/PN, (from Venice/mestre
direction Trieste A4 ; exit Portogruaro to reach the A28 Portogruaro -
Pordenone)
" Carry on till the roundabout and than turn to the left in
direction of Venice/Treviso. At the 4th lights turn to the right, - viale
Montereale - following the directions for Aviano - Montereale Valcellina -
Barcis.
" So, after the same 4th lights, continue for other 3km till the
next lights and then move straight ahead following the directions for Comune di
Montereale Valcellina; crossing the hamlets of:
o Sedrano (hamlet of S.
Quirino)
o San Martino di Campagna (hamlet of Aviano)
o Malnisio e
Grizzo (hamlet of Montereale Valcellina)
o to reach then the municipality of
Montereale Valcellina
o right at the end of the town of Montereale
Valcellina turn to Valcellina carring on to Barcis
There are about 20 km
from Pordenone to Montereale Valcellina and other 10 km to reach Barcis. (See

If you come from
the road BE no 13 Pontebbana - Venice - Treviso - Sacile - Pordenone:
" At
the lights neer industries Elettrolux - Zanussi - of Porcia continue through
viale Venezia Circonvallazione (bypass) (direction Udine)
" At the 4th
lights turn to the left - viale Montereale - following the directions for Aviano
- Montereale Valcellina - Barcis
" From this lights carry on for about 3 km
till the next lightsand then go straight ahead following the directions for
Comune di Montereale Valcellina; crossing the hamlets of:
o Sedrano (hamlet

Mechanism: Pontoon on the lake. Depth of the water from 25 to 54 meter.
"
Swim Conditions: Lake, two laps in a rectangular course 2 km long. The circuit
is defined by 6 big buoy plus other smaller; anticlockwise direction .

Water Temperature 19°-20°. Prediction on wetsuits.
" Cycle Course Two laps
of 60 km. The layout is hilly with a slope of 3 kms with 6% of
inclination.
From the change zone area in Barcis (409 meter on the sea) you
join the road SS 251 in direction Claut, Cimolais (San Osvaldo pass, 827 meter).
Erto and Casso (775 meter on the sea), round the buoy and return to Barcis for
the second lap.
" Run Course: Three
laps of 10 km in a quiet hilly and shaded circuit around the lake.
From the
change zone you run on the road SS 251 for 2.5 km. Crossing the dige you
continue to 4 km - where you meet the bridge on the lake; here go straight on
for the round of buoy.

Event Details
The competition will be raced to the discipline of the Triathlon: swimming 4 kms - cycling 120 kms - footraced 30 kms;
The participation is allowed for all the athletes in order with membership F.I.Tri 2004, all the foreing athlets affiliated with Federations recognized by ETU and ITU for 2004.
It's forbidden to follow in somebody's wake during the cycle lap. The punishment is disqualification.
For the development of the cycle lap the road will be closed for traffic since h 09:10 till h 12:30. The athlets still racing after this timetable will be anyway assisted by volontieres along the road and by motorbikes of escort duty.
The competition mekes use of F. I.Tri regulations.
Nudity is forbidden
in the the changing area. The punishment is disqualification.
Hart hats are
obligatory.
The competition admits in individuals, teams and participation for classes.
The final m/f team classifications will be led to the sum total of best times got by the first three athlets of each team.
Each society must comunicate the accompaniment/ the referent during the registration.
Total price money Euro 10.000. Prizes can not be drawn concurrently.
Age Group: Prizes for the first m/f of each category. Prizes can consist either in technical Olympic products or in kind.
Team: prizes for the first male and the first female teams that will be technical products or kind.
Prizes (variuos Olympic technical products) for the first m/f athlet from Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Awards (variuos
Olympic technical products) for the youngest athlet.
Awards (variuos Olympic
technical products) for the oldest athlet.

Other prizes will be announced at the sports camp.
Awards for the first athlet from Centro Sportivo Libertas.
The timetable of
the event's opening: h 8:30.
The total time of
the competition consists of 10 hours and it's divided as follows: swimming lap -
2h, the rest of the time to finish the competition. The athlets who will not
finish the race in time will be informed about it and than stoped, certanly they
will not be introduced in ranking.
The organization A.S Triathlon Team
reserves the right to expel the athlets who will compromise the event with their
behaviour or cause damages to property or moral damages to A.S. Triathlon Team
or even to volontieres.

AREA

SWIM - Lago di
Barcis.
km 4 - two (2) laps.
Formed in a retangular cours defined by 6
buoys plus other smaller; the care in anticlockwise direction.
The use of wet
suit is recommended
CYCLE
Km 120
- barcis, Claut, Cimolais, Erto e Casso - return after two (2) laps.
From
the transient area athlets must take the road BE 251 Barcis-Erto e Casso as it
follows (returning to comlete the first lap the athlet crosses trough the
transient area).
RUN
Km 30 -
round the Lake of Barcis for three laps per 10 km in clockwise direction.
From the transient area the athlets must take the road BE 251 till the km
2,5 where they cross over damn keeping up till the km 4 and crossing than the
footbridge across the lake; from here they move straight ahead for buoy's lap.
Returning the cross the footbridge again to come back to the transient
area
