Organisers
of the Goodwill Games triathlon will conduct a test
event at 7am on Sunday, July 15th at South Bank, Flag
Court area next to the Queensland Performing Arts Theatre.
It
is proposed that the Cycle Route test will be accomplished
through a combination of rolling road closures and
Police manned intersections for approximately 30 minutes
( 7 - 7:30am). This will allow a group of about 20
top level cyclists to do at least 2 laps of the course
under race conditions. All relevant personnel will
be able to observe the impact of the course and gain
valuable information regarding probable lap times,
etc.

Crimmins from Qld Police Service will co-ordinate
the operation including traffic management and Police
Services
Lawrie
Cranley from USM will organise the riders
GWGB
will notify all relevant bodies and authorities
USM
will co-ordinate the overall delivery including notifying
key personnel, technical officials and other interested
event specific parties.
The
test will start and finish from the Flag Court area
at South Bank.
