Triathlon
is fortunate to be one of the featured events on the
South Pacific Games programme and so far 42 triathletes
from 8 South Pacific Nations are slated to compete.
Countries sending athletes include; the Cook Islands,
Fiji, Guam, New Caledonia, Norfolk Island, Northern
Marianas, Palau and Tahiti.
The
race will consist of a standard 'Olympic Distance'
triathlon featuring a 1.5km ocean swim, a 40km bike
and 10km run.
