Triathlon
will be a full medal event in Manchester with100 of
the top men and women from Commonwealth nations around
the world taking place. The triathlon will be organized
by the British Triathlon Association (BTA) in collaboration
with the International Triathlon Union (ITU).
The
brand new Lowry Centre will provide the backdrop for
the exciting triathlon course being developed by the
BTA and Human Race in conjunction with ITU, the city
of Manchester and Games organisers.
Athletes
from around the world will be able to take part in
various test events on the Games' course in 2001.
