A native of Sydney, Australia, Greg is currently ranked 1st in the ITU World Rankings and has proven himself the man to beat in 2003. Recently he and his fiance, Laura Reback (USA) have been referred to as the 'dynamic duo of triathlon' - and are unquestionably the 'fastest couple' on the ITU World Cup circuit. Greg is also one of the most experienced and consistent athletes on the circuit. After failing to qualify for the 2000 Sydney Olympics he moved to Victoria, Canada - a country he now calls his second home, and where he helped Simon Whitfield through the training that eventually earned him an Olympic Gold Medal. Greg's consistent podium performances in 2003 will hopefully help qualify him for the 2004 Australian Olympic team.
