Park (NZL) ITU Regional Coach for Oceania writes: It is with deep
regret that I advise that New Zealand Triathlete Simon Britten passed
away recently from complications during an operation. Simon was recently
diagnosied with a form of cancer in his lung. Simon had great potential
as a triathlete, finishing 3rd at the 2003 Tri NZ National Championships,
Queenstown New Zealand. Other notable performances were at various races
with a win in the 20 -24 age group at the 2003 NoumeaTriathlon. An outstanding
triathlete with a fantastic future taken far too soon...
