The ITU is
due to launch its vastly improved and totally remodelled website shortly,
making www.triathlon.org the ultimate one stop recourse for the triathlon
world.
The new site will allow events, federations and athletes to update important
information, submit news articles and upload photos to the ITU database.
The new site is fully searchable, allowing the user to find results, events,
athlete profiles, news articles, photos and video at the click of a button.
In 2005 ITU is committed to building on last years success by improving
our live coverage from our world cup and world championship events as
well as empowering all ITU events to update their pages as soon as the
races have finished. We are also making www.itutv.com a free to air service,
so that all triathlon fans have free and unlimited access to race highlights,
coaching tips and lots, lots more.
We are currently
going through the final phases of testing and making final adjustments
to the new site, in preparation for the official launch of the site next
month.
The first phase of the launch will be to issue log in details and passwords
to all ITU events and federations, so every event has an equal opportunity
to have their race information available on the world’s largest
triathlon resource and their results available on triathlon.org as soon
as the action happens.
Our next phase of action will involve having all our elite, U23 and junior
athletes, update their profile pages online so every athletes can have
their own personalised profile pages, complete with results and photos
galleries.
Work is in the pipeline to have a profile page for every ITU age group
athlete by the end of the year, complete with photos, as a part of ITU’s
continuing commitment to our age group community.
ITU Media will be in contact shortly with all events and federations with
details and information on using the new site.
Full details on the launch date of the site will be available shortly.
Best Regards.
ITU Media.
