Time flies; snow has appeared in our northern hemisphere,
almost Christmas and still questions. We will work till the last minute
to answer them and burnish the 2004 ITU Winter Triathlon World Cup.
Thanks to Hans Peter Schück’s continuous support, we just
signed with the Tourism Office of Wildhaus SUI., the contract for the
ITU European Championship. The
prize money will be $12,500 for the Individual competition and $ 2500
for the Teams relay.
Why generally, did it take so long? Because we try hard to
guarantee for the athletes, the best prize money we can get. Should all come to fruition, it’s around ten races that will
be proposed to the winter triathletes.
We are still negotiating for the World Championship and a few
other events. The agreed calendar as for today
As we are still working with
organizers, we will issue Updates as soon it’s needed. The prize money ranges from $7500
for a Premium World Cup to $4500 for a standard World Cup. Premium and Standard will
carry the same value in Points. When time comes we will introduce the
Continental Championship points
Each event will provide $500
to a bonus pool to be distributed to Top 3 Men and Women at the final
event. The major change, in our promotion,
is that Winter Triathlon, also nicknamed “Snowbusiness” will start the
2004 ITU TV show distribution worldwide with a magazine on Championships
and other events highlights. (see list below) For those LOC who will not
purchase this service, we still will offer the ITU web site coverage
as in summer international events. Europe: TVE (Spanish National Broadcaster) Channel 5 (UK) - late night
airing, audience numbers average 250,000 per show Sport + (France) NTV (Russia) RAI Italy RTP Portugal (Unconfirmed) Asia/Pacific

Sport and Trans-World Sport - both shows are shown in every corner of
the globe and also on airlines. Stay tuned for coming news
