CYCLING

We recommend bike training in the sectors known as EL TABLE and SANBUENAVENTURA, where ther is less traffic and the police will be patrolling the area. Here is where the 10km circuit used by the age groups is located (see map - point "A"). It is mandatory to use a helmet while training. Failure to do so could result in DQ (ITU rules) In Mexico, the left lane is for high speed traffic and the right lane is for slower traffic. While on the road, always keep right.
In Mexico vehicles are not accustomed to share the roads with cyclists, so train with care and always in a group. We strongly advise not to train over Kukulcan Boulevard.
While training, always bring a water bottle with you, an ID and a little pocket money for inconveniences. It is very hot and humid, so do not risk to get dehydrated before race day.
If you plan to transport yourself in your bicycle between places, do not use the roads, use the cycle path which runs all along Kukulcan Boulevard, and pay special attention to pedestrians.

RUN:

There is a path that runs all along Kulucan Boulevard which is marked every 500m. The best hours for training are before sunrise or after sundown. Avoid the mid day heat. Do not run on the roads. There is a 400m track in the Downtown stadium
