WORLD DUATHLON - SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
In September next year we welcome a huge event to regional New South Wales, the Newcastle 2005 ITU World Duathlon Championships. This International Triathlon Union event will bring over 2000 competitors and spectators from Australia and 35 nations. The Organising Committee is an incorporated non-profit association, and is currently calling for sponsors and supporters to assist in providing a world-class event of this calibre.
The event will be very significant for Newcastle and the Hunter region, bringing an anticipated $5 million economic impact to the region, promoting Newcastle as a tourist destination to a lucrative North American and European market, and promoting sport and physical activity to the community.
